Fox, badger, or...

Discovered a well-worn path from a field into our garden today. The prints suggest a fox though I'm not sure...

Any suggestions?

Hi

These are badger prints. They appear to be fairly small so probably one of last year's young and possibly female. Sex and age are speculative but species is not.

To add to my last posting,
A guy on the Telly the other night said that if you could draw an X between the pads of a canine print, it was a fox print. I have been a countryman all of my long life but have never heard this before. There is always something to learn eh?

It's good news, too, was hoping it was a badger.
