Lovely poems, so sorry Cara to hear about Prince, what an awful thing to go through. Those dog owners should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

so sorry cowgirl didnt mean to get u or others upset, pain hurts and it was no intention to hurt any one, but poems say a lot and its all about getting stuff out of your system its so important otherwise its all bloked. We all still hug and cry over our dog but we walk away happy knowing we did the right thing and I just wanted to point out that our vet did everything for a 17 year old dog they actually cared what the animal was going through as well as us.

Thank you everyone. The poems were so moving. They are lovely. I believe they will offer comfort to many more people and will be taking copies into work.

He said today: ‘Obviously, they were very upset. Amber was 19 and liked sleeping on the front door mat.

‘Dad had seen a fox come down the drive and stalk up to her a few nights before. He phoned me and said would a fox attack the cat? I said - perhaps a bit naively - I don’t think so, she would wake up and see it off.

‘A couple of days later, dad heard a commotion outside and looked up to see a fox disappearing up the drive and the next morning found parts of the cat on the lawn. Unfortunately, the family pet was no more.’


What a change to the original story eh!

Having seen the fox stalk up to his 19 year old cat a few nights before, wouldn't you have thought he might have let the cat sleep inside instead of leaving her there as bait. Whatever was responsible for killing the cat, the blame ultimately lies on his own front doorstep!

Furthermore, none of these revised editions proves that the fox killed the cat. As I pointed out way back it remains entirely possible that the mog had a heart attack and the fox scavenged the corpse.

Anyway, the owners will remember her. She will stay Forever Amber.
