A worm how do you conclude that!
the only reason I say this is because in your original thread you said even when the stones are removed over a couple of day they come back!!! The stones look in the picture quite heavy for a worm!!! |

I dont think it is a worm! Why would a worm do this?
I am quite happy that it is a mouse, now.
But it would be interesting to find out why Thunder thinks that this is the work of a worm?

You will be surprised at what worms can move...i have just looked around to see if i can find any videos, this seems to be the only one i can find. Not the best i'm afraid, but you can see what they get up to YouTube - Worm, Night crawler, Earthworm, Lumbricus terrestris, videos. |

I think it is the work of a worm, because this is the sort of things that worms do! They do it to protect the entrance to the wormhole against adverse weather. I can't believe that mice are caching much food in a hole less than a quarter of an inch wide (see post three). I expect the soil round the hole is very soft and moist, probably in the centre of a raised mound. Worms are remarkably strong for their size!
