| | | More Garden Visitors Further to my thread in July about our garden visiting Badgers (see here - Garden Badgers ), some weeks ago I set up an infra-red CCTV camera so that we can watch them from the comfort of the house - a very nice facility to have during the recent bitterly cold weather
However, in addition to the Badgers we've been getting more visitors in the form of Muntjac Deer (up to 3 at a time) plus a Fox. We often get all three species in one evening with them usually turning up in the order of Muntjacs, then Badgers and finally the Fox.
One night we even had a Badger and the Fox in feeding together and less than a metre apart!
I've also set up my cameras/flash units on several occasions and have taken a number of shots by monitoring the scene via the CCTV and then using a radio controlled remote release to fire the camera/flash. Here's a couple of shots of the Muntjac but, so far, I haven't managed any of the rather wily Fox.
Hope you like them
Jeff

And yes, we are certainly very fortunate to have such a wide variety of wildlife visiting our garden on a regular basis, though making the garden attractive to wildlife has involved a great deal of time, effort and cost over many years Quote:

And they do look well don't they, though the buck appears to be blind in his left eye . As you'll see from the two further photos below his left eye doesn't glow under infra red light and seems to be glazed over.
You'll also see that his left ear is tagged with an orange tag, presumably indicating that he's been treated by the RSPCA or some other wildlife rescue centre (perhaps for his eye?) and was tagged on re-release.
Apart from that, he and his two females seem to be doing quite well - they've lived in a thicket just across the meadow adjoining our garden for a couple of years now and have raised young there
