| | | Fox image We have a pair of foxes in the garden again this year. They have been mating by the noises a couple of weeks ago. I caught this image the other morning, Just after I had put the bird food on a raised ground feeder. along he came.
Later that day my three sons witnessed him prowling near the house when he suddenly pounced and came out of boarder with a live rat. The boys said he sat on the spot and ate the lot including tail! There was just one small spot of blood in the snow when I looked later.

| | | Re: Fox image I have nothing but admiration for foxes. They have adapted to exploit every opportunity, from their natural instinct of hunting rodents and other small mammals, to making the most of our generosity, as shown in your very nice photograph. |

Great shot..TB.. | Another reason why I'm grateful to have foxes (and the Tawny owls) visiting my garden with the amount of food I leave out for the hogs and birds!
Great story and pic, TB |

| | | Re: Fox image Yes agree healfdan can't understand people who don't appreciate our native wildlife feel fortunate that they not only visit my garden, but, that we have had two litters of cubs raised here too. Fingers crossed we have a litter again in April. es and we need them to control the rats we have here Kayleigh!
