| | | Was this a Mink? Hi all, Was this a mink that I took a photo of? I was at RHS Rosemoor, and out it suddenly appeared and was following a little water vole ( I assume it was that), and yes it caught it's prey!
This has taken me ages to get around to asking! I hope I have done this ok, still new to forums and how it all works!
Thanks

| | | Re: Was this a Mink? Thanks everybody, about reporting it, no I didn't, sorry I am new to all of this, am I supposed to? It was a few weeks ago now as well.
I managed to take quite a few photos, that one I thought was the clearest,
it all just happened in front of me and only one other person was at the lake when this happened, I found it quite compelling, never have seen such wildlife in action before!
I have new camera, and RHS Rosemoor is the perferct place to practice! I went down to the lake to get some 'scenic' photos, as it is stunning and surrounded by autumnal coloured trees, and this all happened instead!
These are some others, you can see the colours in these!
&
I have a couple shots of the Mink with it's prey, but I couldn't bring myself to do anything with them, it seemed too cruel ! |

| | | Re: Was this a Mink? I have just spoken to a member of staff at Rosemoor and whilst they are well aware of the mink, there were surprised to hear about a water vole, so they are now going to look into that.
So many thanks for your comments and maybe some good will come out of this posting for water voles in the future at the Rosemoor. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
