Bat Detectors for Chrismas
Not long now stuck for a gift? how about a Bat Detector and/or the very good Bat Detective Book and CD or the FSC guide to British Bats under a £5
There are some really useful guides in the FSC series for other wildlife interests;

Although a bat detector is a useful gift you have to choose carefully who you give it to. Ideally someone who has the patience to wait until spring to enjoy the full benefits of this gift and not someone who wants instant results and soon tires of a gadget that doesn't provide this.
