I think that most people would be left wondering what they had witnessed in a case like this - but it does sound like you have the most likely explanation now!
(and good luck with whatever the book you're writing is!). |

That is me having a Homer Simpson moment for thinking I was having a Bart Simpson moment. I am afraid I have never seen an episode, just snatches or trailers, so do not know the characters except the father seems, like me, to make a lot of cock-ups and get things wrong all the time.
Whatever the book is I am writing? I am disappointed that you have not heard of such a world famous travel writer and author as I, but that is showbiz, I guess! |

| | | Re: Hare Walking on Water I have steered clear of wild fungi since we took a load to a chemist's 20 years ago in Normandy and he said they were all deadly poison. I went to take them away and he insisted he should keep them to ensure destruction. As we left I saw him chatting happily to a colleague as he was putting most of them in his bag rather than the bin. Then my wife and I had a big row and she made a meal consisting solely of wild mushrooms that evening. Anyway, I always prefered Lebanese Gold and jus de cacti in my more spaced-put days... |

My wife was previously married to a bit of a s**t and while we were going out she regaled me with stories of how she got her own back on him when he'd been particularly abusive. Apparently he had a specific fondness for home-baked meat pies and luckily wasn't in the habit of checking the contents of the bin otherwise he might have been puzzled as to why they were going through so much dog-food. I tend to mind my P's & Q's in light of these revelations!
P.S. Hopefully not diverging too much from topic. Ooops.

| | | Re: Hare Walking on Water Excellent, Doggle. On the unusual meals front,I had asked my wife if we could have lamb broth many years ago, and came home from work to a delicious aroma. When I was eating my wife and daughter had to leave the room and could hardly stop laughing. When I pressed them it turned out that my daughter had not known about the broth plans and had given the bone to the dog. When my wife saw what was happening she had rescued the bone and made the broth.I always remember the novelist Jilly Cooper saying that when she and her husband had a big row she would use his face cloth to clean the bath out.. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
