saw my first wild otter in the wild ? well it was running in the road crossed a traffic island in front of bovey tracy fire station then in to the river bovey i was driving at the time my first thought was a cat (as u dont expect to an otter in the middle of the road ) its amazing how quick your mind works out what you are seeing not a big fan of otters really but it was nice to see a live wild otter all the same  |

Excellent sighting. Found lots of spraints, but never seen one in the wild.  |

Good news yesterday and today.
Managed to visit otter patch one yesterday for the first time since the big freeze: plenty of new, fresh sign so they're still about there.
Visited otter patch two today and lots of fresh sign on the bank where it has been absent in the past, even though I've seen otters in the water there.

my neibourgh works for devon wildlife trust and she says every river in devon now has otters
