Compare this enlargement with the daylight photo of the grey squirrel in the blog post immediately preceeding this one, and in particular focus your attention on the position of the eye and the light colouring around it. Can you also now see where the ear lies?
And the reddish hue? Well that can be easily explained if this camera trap uses an infra-red camera, since its sensor will create false colours which are shifted towards the red-end of the spectrum in daylight/twilight conditions.
The previous blog photo sequence, which was debated to be of a wild pig or muntjac, just looks looks to me like a motion-blurred picture of a departing squirrel too ... what you might have interpreted to be the body of the beast, is more likely to just be the motion-trail of the tail swishing left-right across the image as the slowish sensor captures it.
Might be an idea for you to place some scale-reference object into the frame, next time you set up your camera trap.
