| | | Unknown Mammal Skull Mystery Hello, i'm new here, and wanted to plumb forum expertise about the possible previous owner/user of this fine skull:
Any advice or best guesses gratefully recieved. It seems to be likely an immature animal of some sort. The skull is perfectly preserved.
Ideas? |

| | | Re: Unknown Mammal Skull Mystery Not sure, but it looks like a carnivour. I would guess a mustalid - perhaps ferret, mink, otter depending on where it was found. Any other clues?

| | | Re: Unknown Mammal Skull Mystery I must admit that it looks very feline. Could it be a domestic cat? where was it found?

| | | Re: Unknown Mammal Skull Mystery I don't know about the prevous owner but the skull is of a cat of whatever breed. The orbits tell all. |

Nope, just doesn't have the same ring to it does it?

| | | Re: Unknown Mammal Skull Mystery Could there be a skull difference between a feral, wild, and domestic cat?
It was sat on the loam beside a woodland, a little hidden by clematis.
Should i put out a poster for lost cat found?
thanks for all your help. The orbit (what is this?) appear convincing of petty cat. That's enough for me.
For your help, my thanks. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
