| | | Re: Trio of Mystery Rams Thanks all who have taken the trouble to comment and suggest I love the humour, great stuff.
Seems a bit of a mine field trying to identify sheep similar to the trouble we have in identifying fungi.
Such is life.

Just wish I understood the WAB site better - it still seems far too complicated for 'wrinklies' like us.

| | | Re: Trio of Mystery Rams Yep I would agree Swaledales, Blackfaces are more speckly on the face. I mocked our shepherd when he told me that he can identify individual ewes within the same breed (you can imagine the sort of comments ) I was more of a cattle girl (hence the name ) than sheep, but after a couple of years working with a few different sheep breeds I was mortified to realise that I too was starting to be able to tell the difference not only between similar breeds but there were a couple of girls I could pick out in a crowd !
ps I think they're saying " Well helloooo there" (like Leslie Thomas used to do)

I've fallen flat on my face before!
Noticed you used to have a Zwartbles as an avatar. We've a few round here. |

| | | Re: Trio of Mystery Rams Wow, had no idea that the image which my wife took and I uploaded would create so much interest.
Thank you all. I will settle for Swaledale.
