|  | Some good pubs do B&B round there tho'! Then take a walk along the Soar Navigation. 13 out of 17 indigenous British dragonflies breed along a stretch less than 10 miles long. Otters, watervoles, kingfishers, loadsa waterbirds, damselflies, darters. No feral chavs, which must be an uncovenanted blessing!

| | | Re: Deer in Bradgate Park Vicky - I missed your other thread. ATVB. Been there, done that. Bradgate really is a great place to hang back, get loose and chill out. Take up Fourwings offer of a guided tour when things slow down a bit. You may also care to know that the granite outcrop of Charnwood Forest contains specimens of the oldest multi-cellular fossils in the world.
