| | | seals i have seen via the BDMLR and sea life center twitter feeds that a number of pups have been taken in all ready from Cornwall through to Scarborough.
Have a number of seals pupped early this year? the main season is normally November/December which though not far off is still a couple of weeks off

| | | Re: seals yea, but seemed early having pups picked up at start of the month in north Yorkshire, would expect them a bit later. Might pop out to the east coast tomorrow and see if i can see any, if i head towards DN i dont intend walking out (before some one jumps on the thread with DN tips)
the other month i had to fend off a sealion whilst walking to Shackleton's grave at king Edward point and now feel like seeing some more marine mammals - reminds me i should upload the pics of SG

Apologies for the slight digression, but you might be interested to know there is an exhibition of Frank Hurleys pictures at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool at the moment? It's on right through into next year, details here: Endurance: Shackleton's Antarctic adventure |

| | | Re: seals A mate went down to the Horsey Gap Grey Seal colony here in Norfolk a couple of days ago. No pupping yet but he did say that the females have started to gather along the beach and are getting aggressive when the bulls get to close.
Access to the beach hasn't been stopped yet but I think that will only be a matter of days before that happens.
