Photographed this on Saturday, is this uncommon? It sure was a beauty

You can get red squirrels in a lot of colours, including black.... but I have never seen one like this. What a fantastic creature.

Cracking photos Fudgey, I saw a Red Squirrel yesterday with quite a dark tail, almost as dark as the one in your photos. I'm more used to seeing Squirrels locally with very light coloured tails, almost blonde.
