| | | Little Grey Mouse Hi, I just spotted a tiny grey mouse next to my bird feeders. When I approched it ran into a small hole. Any idea what type this mouse could be. Will it cause any problems - I have two cats and a hedgehog which visits nightly.
Thanks |

| | Re: Little Grey Mouse If it was a greyish colour all over it may have been a House Mouse. Without a more thorough description I wouldn't like to rule out Wood Mouse (or the much scarcer Yellow-necked) which tends to be a warmer brown above + whitish below + common in gardens.
I would have thought it was the mouse that needs to worry if you have 2 cats! Nothing to worry about- enjoy it as part of your garden's wildlife. |

Yes, your photo Ellen clearly demostrates the darker upperparts contrasting with the whitish underparts which you wouldn't get with a House Mouse. Also former species has much more conspicuous ears. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
