| | | Hedgehog Toilet I have a hedgehog feeding station which the local hogs use daily. line this with a shoe box and newspaper - the shoebox keeps the newspaper in place but the poo and wee is still making contact with the wood. Is it safe to line the box with sticky back plastic so I dont have to use as much paper / boxes? I have brought puppy training pads but am still having a problem.
Any suggestions???? |

I can't see there would be a problem with stickyback plastic, but it would still need paper over because it would be slippery and difficult to walk on.
How about one of those think flexible "chopping boards" they sell in packs of 5 from places like Lakeland Plastics, or duct tape....but these would all need paper on top.
I've currently got a little one in a hutch, and it needs at least 8 sheets of paper at a time.
Don't forget to wash the bowls daily.
Put the water outside the box if you haven't already as this can make an awful lot of mess and always gets pooed in!

| | | Re: Hedgehog Toilet Thanks, I have two bowls of water in the garden, a shallow one just outside the box for the hog and a deeper one for the cats. He seems to prefer the cats bowl though. |
