Help for someone trying to protect water voles from developers
I've been contacted via my blog by the Lancs Eco Group who are trying to stop more damage being done to a site where water voles are present: my insect life .

Can anyone here give any advice as to how to proceed?

Water voles and their resting places will be fully protected in England as im sure you and they know. I think its probably best to consult natural england first. It may be that the developers are providing alternative habitat, or improving habitat in other areas, moving voles etc.

If the ponds have been destroyed (and no mitigation measures put in place) I really hope the developers are prosecuted.
