Request for microscopic footage of Sarcoptes scabiei

I'm a student studying an MA in Wildlife Documentary and currently making a documentary on foxes and the parasites that affect them.

I am looking at Sarcoptes scabiei (a mite that causes mange) and trying to:

- locate someone who has access to live samples of the mites
- or knows of a mangy fox being treated that a vet can take a scraping for me

that I would be able to film under a microscope

- or has footage of their own of the mites that they would be willing to let me use in the documentary.

Perhaps contact one of the wildlife rescue centres dotted around. That way you may be informed when a fox with mange is brought in. They may be able to supply you with some skin scrapings.
