Nothing to do with British wildlife at all but interesting naythe less. How many of you know that the only known instance of a male mammal lactating and feeding the young is the Dayak bat of West Africa? Yup, that's right, the male Dayak bat comes into milk when his young are born - they pair bond - and shares the feeding of the batlets with his missus. Google Dayak bat and be awestruck by what evolution can do.

Nature could be pushing us the same way. Unfortunately womens lib pushed things a little too quickly, men can't lactate yet but most do their share with the little-ones. Lots of men out there getting men boobs, only a matter of time before Tesco do Male nursing pads.   |
