mice advice

hi guys,
I'm new to this forum but was looking for a bit of advice. Yesterday I found a baby field mouse alive but obviously in shock by the backdoor possibly been dropped by a bird of prey. I took it in but sadly it was very weak and this morning had died, but about half an hour later another older field mouse showed up on the patio, so I put it with the then alive baby. Since the baby died I released the other mouse but it just seems to keep coming back and I've taken it in again as it wouldn't last for long round here there are lots of birds of prey around. Any explanations or advice would be greatly recieved.

any pictures so we can identify it ? mom or dad mouse would not come back for young one did you leave food that had dropped on floor to attract the othe mice

Hi and welcome..

Put is back outside and let nature take its course we cant decide who lives and who dies.
The BOP will die without a meal so best to leave well alone they only take what they need and if the bop has fed then the mouse will live another day.
Why do you think they have so many young.

yes here is the baby. There was no food about to attract mice. It sounds funny but they seemed to know each other !

it looks like a house mouse cant be sure though and yes bop is bird of prey
which should have its dinner its nature im affraid

the birds of prey don't go hungry around here trust me I'm surrounded by fields. I can't stand the thought of this mouse just being sitting prey if it's because of something I've done

it has eaten food and even drank out of dropper bottle in my hand ?

A bop will die depending on if it gets a meal that day, they live on the verge of starvation..
They dont stock up on food..

Please put it back it has to take its chance in life.
