rats or mice?

Hi, Please can anyone tell me if these are rats are mice? they have been living in my daughters bedroom, thanks sharon.

Hi Sharon, a warm welcome to WAB. Don't worry it took me a while to work out how to put the pics up when I fist joined. You might have to reduce the size of your pics. If you are still having problems just ask, there are lots of people here who will gladly try and help out.

Hi Tracey, thanks for replying, i am still having problems, i saw another one run behind my freezer in the kitchen last night and heard one in my downstairs toilet, the other 2 were living in my daughters wardrobe in her bedroom so it seems they are right through the house, and theres an awful musty smell in my living room, i have taken photos but they wont go on here, they went into the library images, i cant work out how to make them smaller to add them to my email, the council came out last week but all they did was put poison in my airing cupboard as i saw one run past me on the landing and go behind the bath upstairs, i am terrified of them and cant sleep as i can hear them in the nights, ive also got 4 children and 2 are babies so i dont want them catcing any diseases from them, there are fresh droppings every morning in my babies highchair in the kitchen, please can someone help me, thanks again sharon.

Hi Tracey, ive put the images on for you to see, i hope you know someone who can tell me if they are rats or mice, i am moving house on the 9th august and have to get rid of them before i go, thanks again for your help, sharon x

If they are small and there are lots of them sounds like house mice. You can get mouse traps from a hardware shop, glue a sunflower seed or sim onto the spike and set them up. They would hurt little fingers so if your children are small you would have to put them out of reach.It is messy but works.
Or you can get humane traps, but mice would come back unless you released them a long way from your house and not near your neighbour's house or you wouldn't be popular.
