| | | Different deer? Does anyone have a diffinitive way of identifying the different types of wild deer in the South West region. I'm still unsure of the difference betwen, Red, Roe and Fallow Deer. Thanks Wizzo

There should be plenty of pictures in the Gallery to help.
Roe are much smaller than the other two with a white rump and no visible tail
Fallow are usually spotted, have a white rump and a longish tail with a central dark stripe.
Red are not spotted (except calves) with a pale rump and short dark tail.
Hope that is of some help.
