| | | Re: fox attack forum Hey guys!
I am a young country bumpkin that loves to talk and read about wildlife and came across this website/forums because I wanted to chat about related issues. I did defend one subscriber and then gave my views on the fox attacks. Before anyone could reply to my 'fox' discussion the link was closed before "tempers become any more frayed". I was disappointed that no-one replied before it was abruptly closed. My temper was not frayed!
Before I stop coming on here again, can I question whether it was closed because my views were not rated or because I was not friends with any other people on the link. I really think this site would enrich my thoughts and views. Do you need to have an alliance with others to be a part of this. Please can someone advise me of what this site involves. Thank you to eveyone for reading this post and I hope I can continue to develop my thoughts through this site. |

The thread had run it's course, wandered off topic and one or two posts (not yours) were starting to get a bit personal. You made an effort to bring it back on topic but, to be honest, the subject had already been fully covered on that and other threads. Your views, whatever they are, will always be welcome on WAB provided that they are expressed within the forum rules.
Overall threads very rarely get closed but some topics are contentious and can lead to arguments when people feel strongly on one side or the other. It was just unlucky that you joined in at the tail end of one of those.
Finally, having mentioned the forum rules, can I draw them to your attention at What are the Forum Rules? | Wild About Britain. Among them you will find "Public posts debating these rules, terms and conditions and/or moderators' enforcement of such, may be removed without comment." So I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this thread too. Again, it's nothing personal and is not aimed at making you feel unwelcome. I hope you stick around and get as much out of WAB as I have since I joined.
