feeding Badgers

Further to my recent post on Garden Badgers , does anyone have any experience of using Wildthings 'Badger and Fox food' and, if so, how did your local Badgers take to it?

I ask because I bought some last week and used it for the first time last night, mixed with a few peanuts which have been the main food I've been putting out for the last few months.

However, the Badgers took all the peanuts and left most, if not all, of the so-called special Badger food

I thought I was doing the right thing by getting some specialist (and hopefully more nutritious) food for them but if last night is anything to go by I may have wasted my money

Hopefully they'll eventually take to it but I'd love to hear from anyone else who has used this food.

I think the badgers have already given all the info you need

If you look at the ingredients on the bag, it's much easier and cheaper - my goodness the price of it and then they reject it! - to make up your own version and experiment with what goes down well.

We have badgers that visit our garden. I did not intentionlly start feeding them but they took a liking to to the bird seed mix I put down for the chaffinchs etc. They also like peanuts. I have often seen 3 badgers together eating quite happily.
