Mouse Eating Sunflower Hearts

My son took this pic and a short video clip the mouse is collecting sunflower hearts for a cache in a nearby wall,it has a further cache of dried meal worms in a burrow in the border

ah, looks like a wood mouse? the sunflower hearts will be a very nice fatty winter food

Yep, a wood mice. I love these little creatures. Have them all over the place here. There were always some that used to find their way into the seed bin (see was destined for the finches/pheasants) hidden away in the boiler cupboard in an outside porch. They were so amusing to watch when they were trying to jump out. (When the seed level was low, they could get in, have a fantastic feast, but not be able to clamber out again, until I released them in a morning)
