Large cat

While travelling from Dufftown to Craigellachie last night about 10.30 last night [here it is still light then here] a large cat crossed over the road in front of the car. It seemed to be a bit bigger than a labrador and seemed to be a mottled brown colour. In the past there have been multiple sightings of the "Moray Black Cat" in the area but this was not black. Any suggestions please.

iv seen one of these where i live. MASSIVE thing. it was black and i saw it slinking like a cat through waist-ish high wheat field
i was only young at the time but my mother saw it to and i remeber it, which is an achivement, my memory is rubbish

Thanks for the replys, I think a lynx might be the thing as my husband with me thought there were 'sticking up bits' on the head. As for the black cat[s] around here they are smaller and have a very long tail.
