| | can anyone help me identify these animal droppings? Found in my garden, close to where I had left some wild bird seeds and also close to where I had set a heap of wood (twigs/branches - making pile for a fire)
Picture contains a 50p piece to help convey size. I shall be most grateful for any information . |

| | | Re: can anyone help me identify these animal droppings? The noticeable pip on the end of each dropping suggests that they're from a deer species. From the size I'd say they're from a Red Deer, a Hind actually as Stag droppings are always more compressed. They look rather old and weathered though.

and thank you for the welcome.
I had dismissed it being a cat as next to it there is a quite large dug out bed, ready for planting, and I assumed a cat would have scratched the dirt to bury it.
There was a flower pot dish with water in nearby, intended for birds in the hot weather, so it is interesting that you mentioned the animal being dehydrated. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
