| | | Skulls Hi,
A bit of a morbid title.
I have a couple of badger skulls that were found when I was out and about. They are in good condition with 1 being complete with teeth etc. My intention is to use them during presentations. I have cleaned them up (using washing powder) and they are looking very good. However the teeth have fallen out and I now have a jigsaw to complete to get them into the correct sockets!
Question is does anyone know what type of glue I could use to keep the teeth in place. I have also heard that using a clear varnish will keep the bone clean and white. I do not want to varnish it incase it ruins it.

| | | Re: Skulls You should have seen my mum's cottage, the walls outside were covered by all the skulls she found on her walks (badgers, foxes, deer, sheep etc!) and yes, the teeth do seem to fall out. Denture glue perhaps! |

| | | Re: Skulls As long as the surfaces are clean, a tiny drop of superglue does the trick. With regards keeping them clean, mild soapy water is what I use. I have skulls of Badger, both boar & sow, Fox, dog & vixen, Roe Deer buck with antlers, Fallow Deer buck with antlers, Buzzard, Heron and Raven. All have been found on the land naturally. They get used quite alot, in schools & other gigs. |
