Lovely photos Riggy, I can understand your wife being upset at missing them ! I saw my first ever Water Vole this year as well, they are lovely to watch

Yes, to your wildlife trust and the mammal society Mammal Recording Guidelines . And British waterways (or whatever board it is), your local council countryside or wildlife officer, the biodiversity officer etc.

I have emailed the ranger for the forestry commision so can let thier biodiversity officer know ( I know they are aware of presence because the ranger was thier when we saw the one in may and pointed out the latrine site)

They are lovely pics Paul and it really is helpful if you do report them - to all on that list, as you say it will keep you busy but it is worth it!

I have let the local recorder for the mammal society know (and sent her pics - she said they made her day!). I have let the ranger know so he can let the Forestry Commision diversity office know (they are already aware of water voles on site but hopefully this may help with locations within the site).
