New bat for Britain
Alcathoe's Bat has been found at two sites in the North York Moors and Sussex Downs. It is assumed they've been here for several generations as they are very similar to Brandt's and Whiskered Bats. Check out the Bat Conservation Trust website.

That's very exciting, another great milestone in Britain's natural history.

I'll confess I've never heard of this species before! Interesting stuff Adam- guess there may be more out there?
