Badger sett

I have just been out for a walk with my wife and 2 dogs and as we were walking along the road I looked into a large ditch behind a wall and saw 2 badgers playing.I was no more than 15 feet away from these beasts and they knew I was there as they both stopped to watch me before they both moved away and down into a sett.I pass this place everyday and I have seen this hole but never realised until now that it was a sett.This is the first time my wife has seen a badger,and for me it will always be like seeing my first

What an amazing sight! You are so lucky! I've never ever seen badgers in the wild. Full of envy I'm really chuffed for you and your wife, especially as your wife has never seen them before. Beautiful animals and who knows you may well see them again now you know where their sett is.

Well I do hope to see them again now we know where they are but I don't want to make it too obvious.I have a good friend who has spent years watching them for some badger group or other so shall speak to him about how I/we can get an even closer look and maybe some pics now that would just be the ultimate in wildlife watching
