Water Voles on Countryfile - or rats???

BBC iPlayer - Countryfile: 04/04/2010

Great little piece on the Arundel Wetlands Centre on this week's Countryfile (it begins 32 minutes in). BUT I'm 99% certain that the animal which passes through the grass at 33.24 - 33.26 is a rat, not a water vole. It's grey-brown, has a pointy nose and sticky-up pink ears and a long naked pink tail. Other vole fans, what do you think?

I agree, it's a rat, not seen the whole programme yet but just had a peep on BBC I Player.

I didn't see that episode and can't access BBC iplayer, because I'm with Aol. This means that it thinks my address is outside the UK. Very, very annoying!!

A bit annoying that they thought a rat was a water vole.

Such a shame, as we know that there are genuine Water Voles at Arundel and not so difficult to spot!

Oh dear, that is bad I saw this, and never spotted it the first time. But it's fairly obvious when you look closely, I think.

I am with AOL and use Mozilla Firefox instead of the AOL/IE that comes when you install AOL since then I have been able to use the BBC iplayer.
