We have 2 foxes regularly visiting the garden at present or at least 2 that we know about.
Sanchez is very fond of Pedigree Chum. So fond that she has been taking the empty cans from the recycling bin and depositing them on the lawn.
This morning I spotted a tin in the middle of the lawn. I remembered that 2 tins were put in the recycling yesterday, and it was empty when I replaced the aforementioned one.
Looking out the window from upstairs I saw that the other tin had been left on a neighbour's lawn.

Empty tins can be hazardous to cats with broad skulls (usually biggish cats)
Also tins that have not had the lid completely removed but are pushed inwards into the tin are very hazardous to any animal with smaller heads, including the smaller cats, as it acts as a trap, they push their head in and the lid prevents them from getting their head out. I removed such a tin from a partly feral cat a while ago, it took a bit of doing because I had to get someone to hold the cat while I used the tin-cutters. He was pleased to be free and ran off...........Back on thread....Obviously your foxes don't have this trouble due to the shape of their heads.........
