I must be the most hospitable person in my street.....
ABout 6 months ago, I removed 13 field/wood mice from my loft, all but 1 survived and were all taken to a nic wooded area about 4 miles from my house (with a Glen & major road in between). All was quiet since the 7th July (date my son was born and the last mouse evicted).
Then on Sunday morning I heard more scrabbling about in my loft......Now, i dont mind the mice living in the loft, but th eproblem is they are running about below the minimal floorboards and on my bedroom ceiling....keeping EVERYBODY awake!
So I reset my c&r trap, caught a large (I assumed pregnant) field mouse and released at a different even nicer location 4 miles from my house....
All was quiet, until this morning when yet again I heard more scrabbling, albeit not as noisy as the last one!
I think I know where they are getting in, well, it appears to be a very slight hole in the top corner of the house, I cant see anyother way in...and in order to plug this hole up would require access via my neighbours garden (we dont get on at all....looong story) so that will be difficult if not impossible.
I have a sonic repeller plugged into my bedroom, and a battery powered one in the loft, but with all the stuff in the loft and the fact that the mouse/mice are running under the flooring, Im not sure the repellants are having any effect as i think the sonic waves are being absorbed by the junk in the loft...
So, does anybody have any ideas as to how I can persuade the mice (and any future generations) that The Latcave is now off limits?
