not something that you can generalise on to that extent. It is perfectly true that english parkland deer will be heavier than the typical open range highland red deer (who most certainly do not have moss as the major part of their diet). It is equally true that there are plenty of woodland reds in parts of scotland and their body weights will compare well to their english cousins.

I agree {not that this even matters at allxexe that there will be bigger deer than some english deer in scotland and vice versa, but as a general, English deer are bigger.

Its not really very important at all, as a red deer is not aware if its in scotland or in England and doesnt really care, in there world there is virtually no difference between the majority of europe, so if they dont care..why should we? lol
