Wasnt sure whether anyone would be interested or not to be honest! Here's the others I took:
I saw the otter in the water, climb out onto the bank, climb up and dissappear behind the tree. I sat down with the tripod in front of me just in case he reappeared...    |

Thanks for the comments! It was a combination of luck, talking to people, putting 2 and 2 together, and spending quite a lot of time on site. I visit the riverbank as many afternoons as possible for about an hour at the same time of day. |

Excellent! .... my favourite mammal.
I was fortunate to have extended views of 3 Otters at Strumshaw Fen in Norfolk just after Christmas (my first "English" Otters) and then a much more expected family group of 3 Otters on each of 3 days on Loch Scridain on Mull at the end of December and in to the New Year.
Unfortunately no acceptable photos of either group but here are some that I took earlier as they say .... Otters

Ooops! Yes, my mistake. Thanks.
I thought minks were much darker, black even, but I see what you mean zooming right in.
I have to confess two things, it did look smaller than I expected and a friend has spotted a mink in precisely the same location.
Live and learn eh!
