| | | Beavers in Gloucestershire I was diappoined to hear of the Scottisgh Exec's descision not to proceed with a trial re-introduction of the European Beaver.
I have just read that there are some that have been released on to a fenced reserve in Gloucestershire.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to go and view them on the reserve?
Do they show the same behaviour as the North American beaver-lodge building, dam building, underwater stores..etc? |

2 pairs of beavers released at the aigas field centre, which has hides dedicated to watching them. plus others for red squizel, wildcat, pine martin etc.
only small flaw is that it is at the top of scotland

| | | Re: Beavers in Gloucestershire Take a look at this from the Mammal Trust as mentioned by Eeyore .... Mammal Trust - Beavers
I have never booked on any of their wildlife watching events but they seem to have all sorts of interesting events all the year round and all round the country.

| | | Re: Beavers in Gloucestershire Regarding the reintroduction of the Beaver. The first ones are to be released at Knapdale, Argyll in Spring 2009, so it will be soon. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Rele...08/05/22122917

that said i'm in the area quite a lot and ive never seen a beaver there - chances are good that they are quite low profile
