| | | Memory Jogged Looking at the thread on Guinea Pigs being attacked by something, one of the replies jogged a memory from a long time ago.
I was visiting a very good friend who's wife had aquired a kitten, they lived right on the open forest on the outskirts of Brockenhurst so the kitten had plenty of time to wander and explore.
This day, not getting an answer at the front door and knowing he was at home, i guessed my pal would be in his workshop at the rear of the property and started to walk round the house to see him.
As i turned the corner of the building, i met the kitten coming the other way, the kitten had caught a Weasel and had hold of it by the scruff of the neck and was attempting to half drag it along with head held as high as it could, due to the length of the Weasel versus height of kitten.
Stunned by the sight, i shouted to my pal to come and look which he did, his haste unfortunately frightened the kitten, which promptly dropped the Weasel
Before it had time to take hold again, the Weasel turned on to its back and with teeth gnashing in the direction of the kitten, discretion took over and the kitten stepped aside leaving the Weasel to leg it off into the distance.
That scene was one i never thought i would never whitness,Weasels, Stoats etc. have such amazingly quick reactions, i was suprised a mere kitten could ever catch one, the Weasel was obviously having a bad day.

This would have happened sometime in the 1970's (showing my age now) and before the era of mobiles and built in cameras, even now, mine still doesn't have a camera but that is about to change, nothing worse than seeing something and not being able to provide a picture as a record.
The Woodman,
Its just finally sunk in what your comment meant, that is a classic.
