For the last five or six days I have been chucking a couple of handful of peanuts under a hawthorn hedge every time I drive past.
I stayed to watch for a while yesterday and got a pic of this little fella enjoying the feast.  |

That's a lovely picture Snake, he looks so innocent ! I wonder why there was only one, in my experience rats feed in groups, maybe the others were less brave and made a hasty getaway when you appeared.He looks fairly immature to me but I could be wrong. Will there be any more Pics?... Posie,, |

Hi Snake,
Wow, these mammals aren't very easy to photograph at all - so really well done! He's pretty cute - you don't usually get to appreciate their looks like that

I do like rodents with dextrous paws. It's lovely to watch them eat so daintily (as opposed to my guinea pigs, who just stick their snouts in the trough and scoff). | | |
