White Hind In Scotland

Reading the white fox thread, I thought some of you may be interested in a story that was shown on BBC Scotland's "Landward" programme last night.

I've never seen a white deer myself, and would love to see one. I've recently seen a white Pheasant which I thought was pretty unusual, but my parents, who live on the edge of a sporting estate, see at least two or three every year.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but white Pheasants are indeed quite common. They are deliberately reared with the normal coloured Pheasants - it makes groups of Pheasants easier to spot when they are feeding on open fields
