Yesterday, while I was in the garden of St. John's church and was watching the squirrels, I saw a little thing moving in the corner of my eye and when I turned around I saw it was a weasel! It was the first time I'd ever seen one and it was amazing, though they were actually smaller than I imagined them to be! The best thing about it was that it was less than 12 ft away, and when it heard me it stopped to look and then scampered off again.

I think weasels are my favourite small mammal, I love to see them, they seem to just suddenly turn up, you can never guarantee you are going to see one, but when you do, it is a great experience..... |

First time I saw one run through out garden I was amazed at how teeny they are too. Very cool little fellows but very fiesty. Of all the animals at the Rescue, Weasels we're the most sacrey to have to handle. Not surprising though when you think they can take a great huge Rabbit as prey. |

Stoats and Weasels are also my favourate animal, i've spent alot of time this summer driving down quiet country lanes and have seen a lot of them, far more than i've seen before  | | |
