I have never been in favour of the ban on Fox hunting as it was never going to protect Foxes, but frankly I think the sooner we start hunting certain humans the better for all species!!!

Vile, Digit is too mild a word but I can't say what I really would like to without being frozen, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I cannot understand such bestial filth ridden mentally diseased scum, this is worse than skinning an animal alive. I do hope with all my heart they can find these 'people' and pray something of this nature happens to them. Massive agony for a very long time and no-one to care.

Sick. we do need to still remember that we are british and proud and our ancestors respected nature and the majority of our breed still do. do not dwell too much on the actions of a single or a handful of evil people.

connerlake, I understand your point about being British, but this isn't truly a national problem, more a problem that we still have such primitives dwelling amongst us. And one bad apple will spoil the barrel. I couldn't care where these 'things' live I merely want then gone from our specie, they are anathema. I have hunted for food, I have never hunted for sport or fun and certainly never for profit. If I had a friend that I knew had treated an animal in such a way I would hunt for for the first time for sport, in the true and original meaning of the word!

If you look further down the page on Digit's link to that article there are more examples world wide of such barbarism. People were a lot poorer years ago than most are today, in this country at least, and perhaps not having to work constantly and hard means that these 'things' (animals is the wrong word, I dont think any animal inflicts deliberate cruelty for the fun of it) have time on their hands, and not enough intelligence to deliberate on the suffering they cause. It really frightens me, as there have been recent examples of the most horrible injuries to people too. Are we dividing into two species?

loripo, I truly hope it is only lack of IQ that causes these faecal sacks to do what they do, I pray it is not a need for money. A good friend of mine has recently shown me document he is analysing for a local police-force in which the main theme is dog fighting and its link to drug abuse. Basically, people are buying, stealing, breeding good tempered pets and turning them, using the age old methods of starvation and brutality, into dog-fighting machines, the money obtained from this 'sport' is then utilised to purchase class A drugs. Thankfully the report contained no photos as the text itself was horrific enough. It seems as if these cancerous growths on the human psyche have mutated into using vulnerable wildlife to further their aims.

We have quite a lot of young men in this area that keep dogs, staffies usually, for intimidation purposes. The trouble is that gets the dogs a bad name. My daughter has two rescued staffies, they werent physically maltreated but were rehomed twice and then taken back, and were very,very hesitant and unsure of themselves for some time. They are now family and very happy and lovely girls, If you are anywhere near Mwnt, Digit, you might get to see them - they like the estuary!
Did you see the sentences that gang that were organising dog fights were handed, nowhere near severe enough.
