| | | Cats I have a cat, (Bombay) that does not meow. Instead, it emits a high pitched squeak. This is an ADULT cat, not a kitten.
Are Bombay cats supposed to do this? |

| | | Re: Cats This is from WIKI:- Both the American Bombay and British Bombay have very unique voices. They're not your traditional "meows". While some cats are very vocal, others tend to keep quiet. This is perfectly normal and just reflects the type of personality your Bombay has. Bombay cats are heat-seekers. What this means is that they love to be warm and will tend to sleep with you either under the covers or on top of your legs because of the heat you emit. They're very affectionate cats that love human attention.
There is quite a lot about these cats on the net - one may have a forum. As the last post says if the cat seems unwell it must be taken to a vet. Perhaps its just not very talkative

| | | Re: Cats It's VERY vocal, but It just squeaks. It can't be an infection, because he's been like that since before we got him, at the RSPCA.
Thanks, Loripo ^.^ |
