Hi, came across this forum whilst trying to identify a road kill.....
I was walking back from a photo shoot with my zoom lens on and so couldnt take an in focus shot, kicking myself that i didn't pick it up and take it home for a better look.
Its head had been mauled, so difficult to tell you what it looked like but it wasn't like anything i've seen before so would love to know what it was!
OK - description.....
About the size of a small rat, fur was smooth, like velvet, almost molelike, colour as picture, pale brown to grey with light/white underparts.
Big fat back feet and short pudgey front legs. Legs short for length of body really.
Most distinguishing features were its tail which was only 3/4 of an inch long and definately not wounded in any way, and its ears which were as big as my thumbnail, again big for the size of the animal - you can see the ear in one pic.
I have scoured google images trying to identify this poor little chap and cant wait for this forum to provide the answers!
sorry for the terrible quality pictures
thanks in advance for any info!
