Hi Alan,

Recently a thread was deleted because it contained an externally-hosted image, but it doesn't happen with every thread, though. It's a discretion thing I believe, more likely that the OP will be asked to transfer the image to WAB's archive so it is still accessible when Photobucket delete it in a couple of months, or whenever.

Its WAB rules to upload to the image Gallery as outside links get removed as links get broken and causes problems...

You've probably seen it all over the Internet - 'Image removed', 'Image No Longer Available', 'Page Not Found', 'Error'...we've seen lots of it and it makes websites look rubbish. So we ask all our members to not post images from their external website, photobucket, flickr etc, to avoid those error messages where the images should be. We've got lots of pages like this from the early days and the bounce rate on these pages (the number of people who viewed the page then left WAB straight away without viewing another page and never coming back) is almost 100%...average bounce rate on almost all other WAB pages is less than 4%

This is prob a pile of crock but what about someone's pet, an escapee, an exotic such as one of the South American Hystricognaths? Perhaps a Cavy?
Some of these specie would fit the bill. Just a thought.

A very young Mara, or Patagonian Cavy, is perhaps a possibility ... they seem to be frequent escapees from deer parks and the like.
