More generally, the clearly widespread use of warfarin looks a bit alarming. Even with the safeguards they set out (and how often are they fully observed, I wonder?) it is hard to see how you could prevent other animals taking the bait. I don't suppose too many of them will stop to read the warning notice.

It totally upset my 8year old daughter that is presently doing her Friend to Animals badge in Brownies. She couldn't understand why some people thought it necessary to kill a squirrel for doing something completely natural.
Just wonder how I'm going to explain it to her when she gets home from school.
