There's various vague advice around the Net about the hedgehog diet. For example, to avoid providing them anything with salt. Fair enough.
Then there's the suggestion that you don't feed them jelly-based cat food, or fish flavours. Again, fair enough.
What I'd love, though, is a categorical, forensic Bible-like document about diet broken into 3 categories:
1) DO feed.
2) DO NOT feed.
3) Probably not really very much to their taste.
I'm paranoid I'm going to feed him something bad for his health. The worst thing I can do for him...
If it's just a question of taste, then I bow to his own judgement which, as you said Pattie, he will exercise! (I think he's probably now "up-to weight", since he's eating less than he first used to.)
He had a bit of boiled egg this week, but not all of it.
He ate ALL of the homemade flapjack chunk I put out last night, so the lad knows his own palate!
But I'm still scared I might do him harm by my ignorance - and his too, since the menu's ingredients aren't always printed in 'hedgehog' for him.
