I do not mind you "going on". I do the same because it is so frustrating. This is why I started the petition because I wanted to do something which is in OUR power. If we can get loads to sign and there are thousands of animal lovers out there. it is just a matter of reaching them. If you or any others can do what I am doing we can move this forward,what I am doing is to try and reach two animal organisations a day. Search on the web and write asking them to sign the petition and ask their members to do so.

I feel for you as the police have been useless here to. When someone gets shot they will move then. Wildlife seems to have a very low priorty..

Just keep doing what you are doing no matter how often you feel like giving up. Make a fuss for the animals sake. I often feel like giving up and moving but then who will be there for the animals and the swines will have won.As a Christian I keep keeping on no matter how much it hurts.

You could try some of the suggestions of the other posters such as Rights Of Way people at the council, Rambler's Association and the "prominent" person depending on who it is.

I am trying to reach celebritities also for the petition. On Google you can find loads who love animals even Simon Cowell who I am trying to find.

I know what you say about ruinng your life. Instead of enjoying it you worry.
I stood in my garden last night at 1 in the morning. It was teeming with wildlife,I did not know which way to look. Four foxes,two badgers, then hedgehog turned up, bats overhead, owls in the distance, what a magical world. Absolute bliss that the animals allow you to share their lives. The foxes and badgers look at me and think,"it's only her", turn their backs and carry on eating. That for me says it all,they accept me as a friend. And when you get cheesed off just remember that the compassion we have is a wonderful gift that not everyone possess unfortunatly but it's joys come with a price.For brief moments the magic is there until you start thinking of the morans out there who want to kill anything that moves. But then we need to move, against all odds it seems at times, but don't give up, keep being their voice no matter what the rest of the human race thinks of you. I think you are wonderful to keeps making a fuss, don't give up, take a break sometimes but then get right back in there!

Hi, I have only just come across this posting. A 'neighbour' of ours shot dead two of our cattle dog's (we are dairy farmers) He went out hunting them in a bad snow storm (they had got lost) He knew we was out looking, new the dog's were stock proof, but still he shot them, hid their bodies for ten day's, did not report to the Police of the killings. When we found out and confronted him, he denied the killings then admitted to it, then threatened to kill us the same way. Wait for it! We went straight to the Police Station, they made us wait an hour and a half, THEN two day's later went around to see this person. They than came round to see me and told me it was a 'Civil' matter! I complained and got someone out from the Police Complaints, she said 'oh it is just bad customer service and still said it was 'civil' I complained to the Police Complaints Commission. They asked this certain Police Force for their side. I appealed and my appeal had been upheld. The moral of this story is it is a known FACT the Police will do NOTHING. Complain to the IPCC this really upsets the Police especially those who are on the career ladder. Also this person was seen getting out of his vehicle NEXT to a main road with his gun uncovered and not 'broken' ie ready for action. The career bobby was told and then I was told this was OK to do. Hence yet another letter has gone off to the IPCC.
