| | | Dead mouse - please help with ID! The pics below show a mouse caught beneath our kitchen sink. It was caught in a 'humane' trap but (un)fortunately didn't survive through the night!
Does anyone know what exactly it is? House mouse or wood mouse? Not a little rat I hope! (The croc is average adult male size, for scale!)
Also, he/she looks a bit bedraggled... and is the range of colours normal? It looks very much like one I trapped and released a few weeks ago. I released it about a mile away - do mice have homing instincts?!!

I don't think there are any leaks below the sink. It might be more likely that he's come straight in from outside (I think there is a hole somewhere) but it was quite dry yesterday...!? |
